Turia Convertible Cot
Description
The Turia convertible cot, made from solid wood, is a sensible choice to accompany your child from birth and for several years to come, without having to change cots.
A convertible cot made from solid beech that grows with your child The Turia convertible cot will be with your child for several years thanks to its clever and durable design.
During the early years, the Turia cot is used as a traditional cot with bars, providing your child with a reassuring and safe space.
As your child becomes more independent, the cot can be easily adapted thanks to its removable side panels, allowing for a smooth transition to a big-kid bed. This solution saves you from having to buy a new bed and supports your child for several years.
It is essential to monitor your child’s developmental milestones and maturity to determine whether it is time to move to an open bed.
Available in two sizes – 60x120 cm or 70x140 cm – it adapts to your family’s needs whilst providing a comfortable and safe sleeping space from birth.
The durability of FSC®-certified solid beech Carefully crafted in Portugal from FSC®-certified solid beech, the Turia convertible cot offers excellent stability and long-lasting durability.
Beech is a wood renowned for its strength and durability, making it particularly well-suited to the manufacture of children’s furniture. This choice of material ensures a piece of furniture capable of growing with several children whilst retaining its aesthetic qualities.
Its timeless, Scandinavian-inspired design blends harmoniously into any bedroom style.
FSC® certification ensures that the wood used comes from responsibly managed forests, respecting natural resources and ecosystems.
Compliance with safety standards for your baby Cribs must comply with certain safety standards to ensure the protection and well-being of babies and toddlers. These standards vary by country, but here are the criteria against which our Turia convertible cot has been tested:
- Spacing between bars : The spacing between the bars of the cot must comply with safety standards (between 4.5 and 6.5 cm). Generally speaking, the spacing must be narrow enough to prevent a baby’s head from slipping through, of course, and wide enough to allow for good air circulation.
- Non-toxic materials : The materials used to manufacture the cot must be safe for babies. They must comply with current regulations regarding the absence of toxic substances, lead, phthalates or other harmful chemicals.
- Stability and sturdiness : The cot must be stable and sturdy to prevent any risk of tipping or overturning when a child moves around or stands up inside it.
- No protruding or sharp parts: The edges and parts of the cot must not have any sharp edges or protruding parts that could injure the child.
- Clear assembly instructions : The cot must come with clear and detailed instructions for correct assembly (included in the box on delivery)
Easy 3-position adjustment of the mattress base Our Turia convertible cot is designed to adapt to your child’s growth and changing needs during their first few months of life. Here’s a general guide to when you might consider adjusting the height of the cot’s mattress base:
- High position : The highest mattress position is used from birth and during the first few months, when the baby is very small. Usually, this position is used until the baby starts rolling over on their own or pushing themselves up on their arms – signs that it might be time to lower the mattress. This height is convenient for parents, as it allows them to put the baby down and pick them up easily without having to bend over too far.
- Medium position: Once the baby starts to become more active and energetic, rolling over or trying to stand up, it is recommended to lower the mattress to this medium position to avoid any risk of falling when the baby is able to sit up or pull themselves up by holding onto the cot bars.
- Low position: When the baby becomes more mobile, starts standing up on their own or reaches a height where they might try to climb out of the cot, it is time to set the mattress to the lowest position to ensure their safety. This will prevent the baby from climbing over the side of the cot.
These guidelines are general and may vary depending on each child’s specific development. It is essential to monitor your baby’s developmental milestones closely to know when to adjust the mattress height. Make sure the cot is always secure and that your baby cannot fall out or hurt themselves by adjusting the mattress height accordingly.
